The structural timberwork completed before plastering and final finishes. This includes stud partitions, floor joists, roof timbers, door linings, stair structures, timber supports and boxing—accurately set out to give the rest of the build a solid foundation.

Second fix carpentry

The visible finishing work that brings a room together after plastering. This includes hanging doors, fitting skirting and architraves, flooring, stair parts, window boards, ironmongery and other detailed trim work for a clean, consistent finish.
